The main raw materials of quartz sand are quartz sandstone, quartzite and gangue quartz.
1.Quartz sandstone
Quartz sandstone is a type of silica, mainly composed of SIO2.Quartz sandstone is a kind of clastic rock, which is usually associated with minerals such as tourmaline, rutile, magnetite, mica, feldspar and clay.It is the main raw material for processing quartz industrial minerals and mineral materials such as glass, ceramics and casting.

Quartzite is a kind of metamorphic rock mainly composed of quartz (quartz content is greater than 85%), which is generally formed by recrystallization of quartz sandstone or other siliceous rocks through regional metamorphism.It may also have been formed by thermal contact metamorphism of siliceous rocks near magma.It is often associated with minerals such as tourmaline, zirconium, mica, feldspar and clay.It is one of the main sources of siliceous mineral raw materials in China.
3. The vein quartz
Gangue quartz is a kind of magmatic hydrothermal vein related to granite.
